Tokyo, 2034: sophisticated robots called Boomers (and on first sight almost indistinguishable from us, humans) are among us. They are meant to assist us in the shores we despise, but more an more things go wrong and take a nasty turn. In 3 linked short stories we see a world where humanity is as much a thing of machines, as of "biological" units. Parasite Dolls is Blade Runner meets Strange Days in animation. Especially the capturing of emotions from the Boomers for pity sexual "human" games seemed like a very interesting idea, although this was not worked out in much detail. The rest of the ideas behind the film weren't very original, but the 3 stories were plotted very well and the characters were nicely developed.

chi come me è/è stato abbastanza in fissa con GITS, potrebbe apprezzarlo (ma la colonna sonora NON regge in confronto manco a piangere).

ps: ora darò uno sguardo in giro e troverò un altro thread identico, ne sono sicura...

Ho visto qualche spezzone su youtube ed è vero, per certi versi ricorda molto GITS (sopratutto per lo stile dei disegni).
Ho letto anche però che è una mini serie tratta da altre due, Cops D.A. se non sbaglio... Ne sai qualcosa?

non ne so niente, non ho fatto particolari ricerche a riguardo.
Mi è capitato sotto mano e l'ho solo guardato...
Come accennato, non ho disdegnato le atmosfere, ma qualcosa mi ha lasciata un po' interdetta.
Mi spiego meglio: non l'ho capito al 100%. Ci ho trovato dei sottintesi mai veramente spiegati o lasciati intuire.
Il fatto che la mini serie provenga da altri lavori potrebbe darmi una spiegazione al senso di
'frammentarietà' che mi ha dato.

l'ho visto un po' di tempo fa, non lo ricordo più... quasi quasi me lo rivedo, mi sembra che la storia richiami un po' Blade Runner e il solito discorso androidi che si credono umani, ricordo bene? cmq tecnicamente era molto ben fatto!
